Quinta da Alameda Reserva Especial 2014 DOC Dão

Quinta da Alameda Reserva Especial 2014

Winemaker Notes
Deep garnet colour. Great aromatic finess with wild berries notes and delicate flowers. The toast flavours are very subtle and harmoniously integrated. The palate feels delicate, with sophisticated tannins and a long, elegant ending.

Winemakers Carlos Lucas

The harvest took place in the third week of September. The grapes were hand-picked, into small boxes of 18Kg, according to a careful selection of the best grapes in the vineyard.
The fermentation lasted about 15 days, with gentle pumping for a good extraction of color and aromas. After the fermentation, the wine was transferred to new French oak barrels, were the malolactic fermentation occurred. The wine remained 12 months in oak barrels and a minimum of 12 months in a cool cellar after bottling.
