Quinta da Alameda Jaen 2015 DOC Dão

Quinta da Alameda Jaen 2015

DOC Dão

WINEMAKER’S NOTES
Soft ruby color, aroma with red fruit components, some hints of smoke. In very elegant mouth, dry but soft tannins, fresh and spicy. A sophisticated Jaen that does not deviate from the character of the grape variety.

VINIFICATION
In 2013 the harvest of this Jaen parcel took place in the second week of September. The grapes were hand-picked, into small boxes of 18Kg, according to a careful selection of the best grapes in the vineyard. The fermentation lasted about 20 days, with gentle pumping for a good extraction of aromas. After the fermentation, the wine was transferred to second year French oak barrels. The wine remained 9 months in oak barrels until bottling.
